Master of Engineering Manufacturing Technology and Project Management (MTPM)

This program stresses the manufacture, implementation, production, project management, and life-cycle issues of engineering systems, with emphasis on computational methods and software applications. Through specializations in Manufacturing Technologies and Project Management, students will explore problem-solving computational methodologies, modeling, analysis, simulation, and project management.



The program provides an innovative view of the manufacturing technologies and project management landscape to educators and industry practitioners from myriad disciplines, strengthening their manufacturing practices and positioning them for career growth in the global economy.

MTPM Curriculum

Professional English for SITI Students

SITI offers a comprehensive English language program to all students.

 

All SITI applicants must take an English Language Proficiency Test. Based on the results of this test, students may be offered the opportunity to take a free, 6-week English Language Refresher Course. This course is offered in conjunction with the Dominican Armed Forces. Students will not be admitted to the masters programs without demonstrating comfort with the language skills necessary to graduate student in our rigorous programs. We offer this refresher course so that all our students are prepared to succeed in their graduate studies.

 

SITI also requires all students to take COMM 500 Foundations of Business & Professional Communications as the first course in every masters program. COMM 500 helps ensure that SITI students are acquainted with the kinds of writing and presentations expected of business and technical professionals in the international community.

 

Finally, SITI masters programs include a 1-credit course, COMM 510 Masters Thesis Preparation. This course gives students valuable guidance on conducting graduate level research and documenting that work in a masters thesis. Students are introduced to on-line research tools made available to via Stevens Institute of Technology; other on-line databases; standard documentation techniques in SITI fields of study; and the form required to submit the completed masters thesis to be archived in the university's library.
